Meet Michele

Michele is a transformational health and life coach, speaker, and the author of Journey Beyond the Plate, 7 Clear Lifestyle Practices™ to Sustained Weight Loss. She is known for her passion, authenticity, heart-centered approach, and commitment to excellence.

Michele is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Elite Universities Breakthrough Coaching Certification Program. She’s also a Certified Training Facilitator with Development Dimension International and an advocate with the American Diabetes Association.

Michele founded Make Healthy Fit after conquering major health issues. She shed 115 pounds, reversed her insulin resistance, and became free of medications for high blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol.

Shortly after renewing her health, Michele fell into grief and pain from emotional trauma. Her faith became her lifeguard. She dove into Spiritual Psychology education and gained additional wisdom and strategies for helping others mind, body, and soul.

Prior to becoming a coach, Michele served as a Healthcare Quality & Patient Safety Leader, Judge for the State of Delaware Quality Award for Business, and the President of the Delaware Association of Healthcare Quality.

She received an award by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition for her book, Journey Beyond the Plate. The National Association of Professional Women honored Michele as an inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle.

“I’m pleased to welcome Michele into the exceptional group of professional women, said NAPW President Star Jones. Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”

Michele is a proud single mom and free-spirit who loves music, dancing, cooking, nature walks, the beach, reading, and writing.

Become a Health Coach

The Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s (IIN) health coaching program is empowering, supportive, engaging, inspiring, and incredibly transforming. There are no prerequisites required!

Before I discovered IIN, I thought that I was healthy. I didn’t realize that my life was out of balance. A stressful, unfulfilling career, and toxic relationships affected my health and happiness. Little did I know that health coach training would engage me in activities that literally breathed life into my body and soul.

Michele’s Approach

The World Health Organization defines health as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” As a wholistic health coach, I assess how all the areas of your life are connected. I will not prescribe a diet for you, but together, we will explore different foods for your body type, fitness methods, self-care practices, and how to effectively apply them to your lifestyle. When we work together, we will develop your lifestyle goals, establish time frames, and take actionable steps so that you can move towards living a happy, healthy, comfortable, and fulfilling life.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost for personal coaching?

That depends on your goals and aspirations! I offer a free, 60-minute private session to understand your desired outcomes and for you to determine if coaching is right for you. There is no obligation. If you find value in your coaching experience, I will recommend the necessary support to help you create the long-lasting foundational change you’re looking for.

What do you mean by a breakthrough method?

I help women overcome barriers to health, success, and fulfillment using relevant, science-backed techniques and tools. This rare and impactful coaching method transforms from within — what you can’t see!

  • The typical approach to making a change focuses on what’s above the surface (your behavior.)
  • To transform a habit or pattern, the root cause must be removed or it will keep resurfacing like a plucked weed.
  • I guide you beneath the surface to the root of your challenge (what you couldn’t see.) Then, you can systematically transform unhealthy behaviors, patterns, and emotions into new and joyful opportunities.
Do you prescribe a particular diet?

No. You are an individual with unique biology, like DNA. The term bio-individuality was developed by Joshua Rosenthal, founder and director of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. His research identified that nutritional needs differ for each person because of internal and external factors; such as your cultural patterns, sensitivities, body type, the foods you eat, emotional thoughts, and your surrounding physical environment. I guide you to an approach that best serves your body from a physical and emotional standpoint.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes.

Will my insurance cover the cost of coaching?

Not at this time. Although the American Medical Association has created temporary codes for insurance coverage for Health and Well-Being coaches currently employed in clinics or healthcare systems, no reimbursement amounts are expected shortly.
